Solomon's 2003 This white nudibranch is giving "birth" to an egg curl on the wing of a downed plane near Ghavatu in the Solomon Islands. Point your curser and click to see a full screen picture. Image No.856-26
A crinoid walking on a fan is a sight you have to look for. They really do move. Image number 842-6. Speed 1/60; f stop 22; Lens 105mm There are lots of these little red shrimp near West Wickham reef. They look black underwater. Image Number849-24. Shutter 1/125;f stop22; lens 105mm. Trying to get this pair of Moorish Idols to pose took about ten shots. I like the yellow and white and the red fans. Image Number 852-7 Shutter 1/100; f stop 5.6 Lens 28mm I like the blend of yellow crinoid, orange soft coral and red fan. This was taken in Lumalihie Passage. Image Number 853-26. Shutter 1/80; f stop 4; lens 20mm. I guess this is how nudibranches find each other to eventually mate. This was taken under the dock at Ghavutu. Image Number 858-7 Shutter 1/60; f stop 11; Lens 105mm
I always look for unusual Tridacna clam mantles. I do not remember one with such a vivid green. Natures designs are fascinating. Image Number 848-10 Shutter 1/80; f stop 8; Lens 105mm. I spent my dive trying to get these shy Red Coral Groupers to pose. They finally decided to sneak out of a passage in the reef and I got the shot. Image Number 860-22. Shutter 1/60; f stop 11; Lens 70mm.
