Seascapes
Taking pictures in the Somosomo Straight in Fiji is a thrill. The current requires a one hand secure hold and aiming the housing and strobes in a strong "breeze". I like the balance between the red soft corals and the varying shapes of the hard corals. Film: Kodak 11 ES, f-stop 8, Lens: 20mm, Image Number: 518-35 Orange canyon is one of my favorite dives in Grand Cayman. Red Sponges and Fans of all colors abound. Film Velvia, f-stop 8, Lens 20mm, Image Number: 71-23 I found this cluster ofViolet Feather Dusters and a Yellow Sponge, in the Aquarium dive site in Grand Cayman. This image is one of my favorites. Lighting the fan from the back side and locating the yellow sponge in the upper left bring balance to a miniature Film Velvia, f-stop 8, Lens 105mm, Image Number: 74-34
Orange Soft Corals, in Kokoana Passage, Solomon Islands are breath taking. The color stands out at 80 ft. The only problem is a very strong current so pictures were mostly taken on the fly. Film Velvia, f-stop 8, Lens 20mm, Image Number: 608-27
Twin Ridges in Morova Lagoon in the Solomon Islands offered the most spectacular seascapes of the trip. They were all well below 100 feet. Trying to get a fish in the picture is mostly by chance. This one worked well Film: Velvia, f-stop f5.6, Lens: 20mm, Image Number 615-3
