Truk Lagoon 2002 All of the following pictures were taken on Velvia with the strobes set at 1/2 power and Ikelite diffusers Who would think that nature could make such a beautiful image of a bow gun on the Shinkoko Maru Image Number 768-18; Image Number 775-14. The wheel house of the Nippo is a favorite image. This time I decided to give the wheel and telegraph a feeling of being lost along with the crew in February of 1944 f Stop 5.6: Shutter 1/60 Image Number 773-14. I thought I saw the sprit of the Enterprise on top of a davit of the Sankisan Maru. f stop 5.6: Shutter 1/60
Image number 767-30. The davits on the ships in Truk Lagoon offer a substrate to much of what Mother Nature has in her bag of tricks. Here we have soft and hard corals sponges and an anemone with fish on the Heian Maru f Stop 5.6: Shutter 1/30 Image Number 773-31. The bow gun on the Sankisan Maru, shows the full range of what mother nature can place on an instrument of distruction. f stop 5./6: shutter 1/60 Image Number 768-22 This is the opposite side of the Shinkojko bow gun that opened this web. No matter how you look at the growth it is just amazing! f stio 5.6: Shutter 1/125 Image 774-6 R2D2 is an air compressor three levels down in the engine room of the Fujikawa Maru. Of the 20 or so images I have taken, this is the best. It is a very crowded space and the air bubbles from me generally rain rust down on the compressor. f-stop 8 Shutter 1/100: 20mm lens |
